September 2020•The statewide initiative Share, Trust, Organize, Partner COVID-19 California Alliance (STOP COVID-19 CA) — a community-partnered collaborative is funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to addresses the challenges faced by California communities related to COVID-19 vaccines.

October 2020• Established the Mujeres Poderosas Promotoras Team for Merced/Central Valley. Cultiva la Salud was able to recruit a total team of 18 promotoras.
• The coalition was featured on our University website. Statewide Coalition Forming to Bring COVID Awareness to At-Risk Communities.
• Dr. Yen was interviewed about the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the San Joaquin Valley. Available at COVID-19 Stats Continue To Improve, But Death Data Tell A Darker Story – Virus Update For Oct. 2.
• We launched the first wave of a community survey which aims to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic impacts the San Joaquin Valley. -
November 2020• We started our community focus groups to better understand how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the San Joaquin Valley.
• The coalition was featured in the local paper. Available at Your Central Valley. -
December 2020• We held our first Advisory Board Meeting which included representatives from local nonprofits, departments of public health, and local representatives.

January 2021• First wave of the community survey closed with approximately 300 participants.
• We also started our “I test because…” campaign. The aim of the campaign is to provide reasons to get tested for COVID. -
February 2021• We completed our fifth and final community focus group.

April 2021• Launched STOP COVID-19 call line.

May 2021• Achieving Vaccine Equity Report released and available on Google Drive.
• Vendors and Vaccine Event at held May 1st at the Merced Flea Market. -
June 2021• The second wave of the community survey launched.
